Six Scenes from a Tree of Jesse Window

Pot-metal glass, vitreous paint
Swabia br> Metropolitan Museum of Art, 22.25a-f, Purchase: Frederick C. Hewitt Fund, 1922

This Jesse tree de-emphasizes the royal ancestors between David and Jesus, putting them in smaller circles so as to emphasize Jesse, David, and four New Testament episodes (the Presentation, Last Supper, Crucifixion, and Ascension).
