St. Anthony Burying St. Paul the Hermit

In Jerome's life of St. Paul the Hermit and in the Golden Legend, Paul is buried by St. Anthony Abbot with the help of two lions. This artist has added a third lion to the mix and placed a fountain, suggestive of the many water images in scripture, in front of Paul's cave.
