St. Novatus

1803
Basilica of Santa Pudentiana, Rome

According to local legends St. Novatus was the brother of St. Timothy and of the sister saints Praxedes and Pudentiana. His clothing in this image seems to have been influenced by a 16th century fresco portrait in the same church of this saint and his brother St. Timothy.

St. Novatus' feast day is June 20.
