Immaculate Heart of Mary
17th century (body)
Church of St. Paul, Huitzo, Mexico
The crown and blue mantle are typical features of Virgin Mary santos in Oaxaca. In this and seven others that we know of in the state, a red heart in a sunburst is attached to the breast, sometimes in a circlet of roses.
