The ark floats on stylized waves, its fourth wall cut away to reveal the inside, where Noah reaches out toward the dove, which is drawn much larger than he.

Noah's name in Greek appears above his head. The label over the other person in this panel are hard to make out, but in the middle are the letters omega ("W") and tau ("T"). With those letters the word cannot be identifying any of Noah's sons (Shem, Ham, and Japheth), nor his wife, whom Jewish tradition identifies with Naamah, the sister of Tubalcain mentioned in Genesis 4:22.
