Franz Xaver Zettler
St. Catherine of Siena
1893 (restored 1995)
Munich-style stained glass
Church of Santa Corona, Venice, Italy
Some images of St. Catherine of Siena include a crown of thorns, but most do not. Another Dominican saint, Rose of Lima, actually did wear a penitential crown, made of silver with spikes to remind her of Jesus' crown of thorns.
The book is often seen in portraits of this saint; the cross, less so.
