St. Wolfgang Altar

The cathedral's guide book provides the name of this altar, so that must be St. Wolfgang in the center. But there is no attribute other than the mitre and crozier seen in all portraits of bishop saints. The plainness of the crozier could possibly be intended to recall the simple staff in the story of this saint's water miracle.

The sculptor does provide an attribute for St. Rupert on the far left: a salt box. The other smaller figures are, left to right, St. Boniface, St. Emmeram, and some saint whose name ends in "hard."
