Moses Receives the Ten Commandments

1385-1415
Cathedral of St. Peter, Regensburg, Germany
(Above the north entrance in the west portal)

A fully portrayed God with a crossed halo hands the tablets to Moses. The four figures below presumably represent the Israelites who waited while Moses was on the mountain. Three of them wear medieval "Jew's hats" identical to the one on St. Joseph in the central panel of the cathedral's great Nativity Window.
