St. Jude Thaddeus

Church of the Assumption (Maria Himmelfahrt), Kelheim, Germany

In the Kelheim church the saint is referred to simply as St. Thaddeus. The statue uses the traditional long tunic and flowing mantle to signify the apostolic age. The saint's attributes are the book cradled in his left forearm and the cudgel in his right.
