Predella of the Holy Ghost: Detail, St. John the Baptist

The saint is identified by the Greek inscription, the platter with his head on it, and the traditional attributes: the lamb and the vexillum with the Ecce Agnus Dei motto. The inscription uses the title Πρδρομοσ, "forerunner," which is preferred in the Orthodox churches.
