Church of San Miguel Ejutla, Oaxaca, Mexico

In Oaxaca santos of this type often go by the name El Señor de la Misericordia. This life-size statue portrays Jesus as he was presented to the crowd by Pilate, bloodied by the scourges and wearing a scarlet robe and crown of thorns.
