Resurrected Christ

17th century (est.)
Dressed santo (hollow)
Polychrome, polyester apron, fabric banner
Approximately 4 feet tall (120 cm.)
Basilica of Santiago, Cuilapan, Oaxaca, Mexico

The traditional halo of three rays has lost the center ray. The right hand seems positioned to hold a long standard such as one sees in many Resurrection images, but now a small standard is tied to the left hand. One of the three arms of the halo is lost. Wounds can be seen in the side and hands. The feet are covered with a cloth.
