The Passion of St. Vincent of Saragossa and the History of His Relics: Detail, top of the window (at left, St. Vincent's body is cast away)
The trilobe at the top of the Metropolitan's composite:
-
Lower left: St. Vincent's body is cast into the sea. The round object pictured beside the ship is the millstone that Dacian's men attached to the body of St. Vincent before throwing it overboard.
-
Lower right: A herald blows on an oliphant to alert the citizens of Saragossa to the approach of Childebert and his army.
-
Top: An angel swings a censer over a turret, presumably in Saragossa. It is not clear why.
