Joshua in Christian Iconography
Joshua is the successor of Moses as leader of the Israelites. The sixth book of the Bible is named for him and tells of the Israelites' entry into the Promised Land under his leadership.

Above is one of the Joshua episodes in the series of 5th century mosaics on Old Testament subjects in the nave of Santa Maria Maggiore, Rome.
