The Conques Last Judgment Tympanum: Detail, symbols of the church and cult of St. Foy

The Romanesque columns and arches resemble those inside the church. From the crosspieces hang opened shackles, ex-votos given by prisoners freed by the intercession of St. Foy. Below the arch on the left is an altar with a chalice, referring to the eucharistic services conduncted in the church. Below the second arch is a chair or throne.
