The Holy Trinity

Late 19th century
Stained glass
Church of the Most Holy Trinity, Augusta, Georgia, United States

This is the way of picturing the Trinity that became common after the 16th century. The Son sits with his cross at the Father's right, and the two figures are joined by light rays from the Holy Spirit (or, following the western form of the Nicene Creed, emanating from Father and Son). As usual, the Father has a white beard.
