This episode is narrated in the synoptic gospels (Matthew 26:15-16, Mark 14:10-11, Luke 22:3-6). Inspired by Satan on the left, Judas Iscariot makes a deal to betray Jesus for 30 pieces of silver, which are in the bag in his left hand.

This panel is on the chapel's triumphal arch.
