Miracles of St. Blaise

At the left, Blaise revives the boy who had a fish bone stuck in his neck. As usual, he wears a cope and has a mitre and crozier, the emblems of the office of bishop. The central scene, with men in helmets drowning in the sea, appears to refer to the story in the Golden Legend of the idols thrown into the sea by Blaise's disciples. ("If these idols were gods, they would have known ahead of time what we intended to do," Ryan 152.)
