St. Agnes of Montepulciano Receives the Christ Child from the Virgin

As recounted in Raymond of Capua's vita of St. Agnes, the Virgin Mary brings her the Christ Child to hold in her arms. The cross hanging on the child's chest will remain in the saint's hand after Mary takes the child back.

The panel is paired with another representing a Dominican tertiary, Blessed Margaret of Savoy (1390-1464), shown below.
