Our Lady Entrusting an Image of St. Dominic

Oil on canvas
Basilica of Santa Maria sopra Minerva, Rome

Mary presents to the viewer a 'framed' painting of St. Dominic in his Dominican habit and holding a book and lily stalk. Holding the painting are a putto and two maidens. The long, blond hair of the maiden on the right suggests that she might be St. Mary Magdalene.
