St. Bernardino

Chapel of St. Anthony of Padua Church of Sant'Apollinare Nuovo, Ravenna

This is one of a set of statues in the chapel celebrating Franciscan saints. Here St. Bernardino holds up his tablet bearing the "IHS" monogram. At his feet are the three mitres representing bishoprics he declined to accept.
